Every day, we are tasked with making hundreds of decisions, from what to have for breakfast to when to get into bed. If every decision we made were a conscious effort, it would be too much for us to handle. Therefore, our brain develops habits to make life easier and less energy-consuming.

Learning a habit is a mental process in which we make decisions about our interests and indifferences and automatically lead us to do specific actions in certain moments. We can trace personal patterns of habit formation back to our childhood.
